Lactic acid: Naturally present in milk and part of the alpha-hydroxy acid family, lactic acid is biosynthesized for cosmetic formulations. It exfoliates dead cells and promotes skin renewal to firm and strengthen it, improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
